Mid-Week Cruise to Bembridge - 19th to 21st May

So far, 11 boats have definitely booked - Heyday of Hamble, Antipole, Procyon, Andiamo of Hamble, Legasea, Wind Dance, Freelancer (Lottie), Baldur, Whistler, Tiga and Galene (Motor).

Update on Arrangements

On Tuesday afternoon (19th) 5.00pm - 6.15pm - Pontoon Party (adjacent to the main Rally Berthing Area) - BYO drink and nibbles.

On Tuesday evening (19th) 7.30pm - I have booked dinner for us at "The Vine" pub on St Helen's Green, about 25 minutes walk around the harbour. Please let me know, for each boat, the number who would like to eat - so I can pass this on to the pub. So far, we have 9 boats (21 members) opting to eat at the Vine!

On Wednesday Evening (20th), From 5.30pm - I have booked the BBQs and Marquee at the marina - so please BYO BBQ food and drinks. All boats (25 people so far) want to join the BBQ evening.

Cross-Channel Cruise - 4th-8th June

(plus optional days in the Channel Islands)

So far, we have 8 yachts definitely planning to attend - Trutz, Wind Dance, Avize, Bob, Carinya, Seahorse, Winkle (ECA) and Andiamo of Hamble. I know that some are looking for additional crew so please let me know if you are interested to join as crew. We also have 3 members, coming by ferry and staying in a local hotel.

I have now booked Saturday evening at Cafe de Paris - we ate there privately last year and the food was excellent. They also have an upstairs room, where we can all sit together, overlooking the River / Port. They have a fixed menu at 38 euros, or a lower cost menu at 29 euros.

Friday Evening 5th June - Welcome Party in Marina Office Area

Saturday 16.30-18.00 - Sparkling Wine Pre-Dinner Pontoon Party

Saturday 19.00 - Dinner at Cafe de Paris !

Sunday 10.00 - Coach from Marina to Cave L'Enchanterie, via La Pernelle Lookout - Champagne Reception, with Oysters and Lamb BBQ.

Sunday 17.00 - Coach back to Marina, with wine purchases on board !

Booking

If you have not already done so, It is important that you complete a booking form and return to me, together with a bank transfer of your booking fee (£69.50). Please confirm number on board and number for dinner on Saturday evening.

There is still room for additional boats and additional crew - just let me know as soon as you can, so I can advise the Marina, Cafe de Paris and Cave L'Enchanterie.

West Country Cruise in Company

26th July, for approx 10 - 12 days.

This is a very relaxed / informal cruise in company, with time to stay and enjoy each port of call. Studland Bay / Poole, Weymouth, Dartmouth, Brixham, Plymouth, Falmouth and The Helford River are old favourites.

Possibly, we mights visit Bembridge, Yarmouth or Lymington on the passage West or on return - subject to weather.

Having looked at tide direction versus dates, and availability of family crew, The date is now set for departure on Sunday 26 July. Return will be approximately 10 -12 days later, depending on how long we decide to stay in various places and the weather!
