Race Officer (RO) and Race Officer Assistant (ARO) notes

The documents below outline how to run a race from ESSC, with lots of hints and tips. There is also a handy section on how to choose and appropriate course for the day, taking into account tide, wind strength and direction.

There is a portable printer for use by the Race Officer of the day. It is there to be used for printing out the list of those signed on for the race. The list can be printed in order of PY - fastest first or slowest or by type of boat. The document below gives instructions on how to use the printer Wifi connection so that you can print the list direct from your phone. Spare paper for the printer is stored in the folder in the Race Box.

The printed list will also provide a table for filling in the lap and finish times.
