ABOUT SOCIAL DINGHY SAILING

Social dinghy sailing is a relaxed, non-competitive time on the water with rescue boat cover, run jointly with Emsworth Sailing Club. There are plenty of racing opportunities at Slipper but this is not one of them!

All club members are welcome but the sessions, which are all midweek, give an opportunity for less experienced sailors to have practise time on the water with a support boat support. The programme is on the club calendar: https://www.emsworthslippersc.org.uk/events where support boat cox and crew can sign up for duties.

There also opportunities to sail more informally as a group without support boat cover and these are posted on the WhatsApp group.

'Rigged and ready' means ready on the beach to launch your boat so please allow at least half an hour before the start time. Sign on at www.emsdinghies.com but if you want to leave a session early or stay out longer let the rescue boat crew know and don't forget to sign off.
