TEAM SPIRIT WINS THROUGH IN SLIPPER SPIRIT

Slipper's Rowers and Coxes, along with other Clubs in the harbour with a Celtic Longboat, were fortunate enough to be invited to be part of Dell Quay Sailing Club's Interclub Sundowner Row on 17th May.
We took three crews - Women, Mixed and Open to do three short races. All three teams performed brilliantly, but amazingly our Mixed crew came FIRST against the other Clubs! FIRST! We only got our beautiful boat Slipper Spirit last October and all four rowers were new to rowing last year. It was just incredible and thanks in no small part to the Slipper members who have trained and encouraged us, whilst having lots of fun. Come and join us!
The excitement was followed by a nice supper and lots of the socialising that seems to be compulsory with rowing . Dell Quay even managed to lay on a stunning pink sunset to top off the picturesque setting. A wonderful evening.
