MID-WEEK CRUISER RALLY TO BEMBRIDGE - NEW DATES - 24th to 26th September

We have decided to try again with our mid-week cruise on Wednesday to Friday 24/26 Sept - with the option to stay for the weekend if the weather is fine. Our last attempt was postponed due to forecast rain, lightning and strong winds. Let's hope for better weather this time !!
We have simply moved the rally booking with Bembridge Marina to the new date and this also gives a chance for those previously booked to use their Bembridge Marina credit.
We are planning to have a BBQ ashore and/or Dinner at Brading Haven Yacht Club and/or "Ganders" Restaurant in St Helens. Moving the rally towards the end of the week avoids the problem of both these establishments being closed in the early part of the week!
It would be good to see as many of our cruising members as possible joining in this end of season cruise - sail or power. This would also be an ideal opportunity for new cruiser members or those who don't normally join the racing weekends to have a short social cruise! Also, cruiser members who don't own boats are very welcome to join in - please email me if you are interested.

Dear Geoffrey
Thank you for booking a Rally to Bembridge Harbour on behalf of Emsworth Slipper Sailing Clubfor approx 10-15 boats, arriving on 24/09/25 and departing on 26/09/25. Your Rally has been allocated the Rally Code: *ESSC099 and you have been registered as the Rally Organiser (RO).
Your designated Point of Contact at the Harbour is either Thomas White or Fee Broomfield who will be happy to help you co-ordinate your Rally requirements and offer advice on all things local.
All Rally members should book online, using the Rally Code, as soon as possible so we can allocate berths near to each other. During the online booking process, Rally members will be asked to select either the Duver Marina Rafting Area (along the main Duver pontoon) or Duver Marina*. Please be aware that Finger pontoons are only for boats up to 12.8m LOA and are available to all visitors and are therefore subject to availability - early booking is advisable.
*Boats over 18m LOA, multihulls, and boats with a beam over 4m cannot book online and should book through the Berthing Office.
During high season and over bank holidays, please ask your members to book well in advance as these dates fill up quickly and we can't guarantee availability of berths in either the rafting or finger berth pontoon areas.

After the closing date, boats not yet booked, or additional boats wanting to join the Rally, will be very welcome to book on an individual basis, subject to berthing availability. Please notify us in advance of any specific berthing needs.
The Rally Code covers only the date(s) of the booked Rally. Anyone wanting to arrive earlier or stay longer are very welcome and can make one online booking on their Customer Account (the system will automatically adjust for any relevant rally discount).
Online Discount and Rally Discounts
All online bookings receive a 5% discount on berthing fees. Boats unable to book online are charged at the Standard rate and are not eligible for discount.
In addition to the 5% online discount, with the exception of the main summer season - 04 July until 31st August inclusive, weekend rallies (Friday, Saturday and Bank Holidays) receive a 5% discount and those mid-week (Sunday to Thursday) receive 10%, on berthing fees - this Rally Discount is available for the Rally Rafting Area only - please note there is no rally discount on finger berths (the rally discount is in addition to the online booking discount).
To enable us to provide the best possible service, please provide your Rally members with the Rally Code and the information contained within this email. More information is available on the Harbour website Rallies page including our BHA Visitor Terms and Conditions, with which, along with BHA General Terms and Conditions, all vessels must comply.
