Race Awareness Session (CHRW and others)

Race Awareness Briefing Session - This sessions is aimed at patrol boat and Slipper Maid coxes and crews. The information is primarily for those interested in CHRW but much of the discussion will be relevant to top of the harbour dinghy racing support as well. We will discuss course layouts that are used for Chichester Harbour Race Week CHRW; the importance of positioning your patrol boat during the race, typical race scenarios, and how best to respond; for example asking a crew of a capsized boat if they require assistance before close approach, and why; masts in the sand; radio frequencies used and lots more. Plus a chance to ask questions and pass on your experience if you have been before.

We hope as many of you as possible will attend, and we would particularly welcome input from those with previous CHRW experience.
