ESSC Centenary Challenge The Twinchie
In 2021 to commemorate the centenary of ESSC, a quilt is being crafted. The quilt will show images of the club and is intended to be hung in the function room as part of the celebrations. We would like to make this project open to all members, adults, and children alike.
In order to do this, the idea is for as many members as possible to make a TWINCHIE!
Twinchies are two-inch (5cm) squares, which will be used to form a border around the quilt. To make a double border around the quilt, 240 Twinchies will be needed!
The backing of the Twinchie can be made of calico, thick cotton, linen, felt or any other sustainable or recycled material, which can be sewn onto the quilt backing.
Embellish the top of the Twinchie with your memories / thoughts /impressions of ESSC throughout the last 100 years.
You do not need to be an expert at sewing to make a Twinchie!
