Safeguarding & welfare
ESSC are committed to providing a safe environment for our adult club members, youths and juniors to enjoy the water activities we facilitate.
On the water, we race in accordance with the RYA charter which encourages fair, enjoyable and safe racing for all. We extend these principles to all other areas of club activities. With regard to our children and any vulnerable adults, ESSC follow the advice and guidance of the RYA and have a zero tolerance of any aspect of abuse.
On behalf of the club, I am the designated safeguarding/welfare Officer liaising with the RYA; upholding their guidelines and implementing their advice. If any club member has any concerns, they will be treated in confidence and with respect and can be directed to either myself or any flag Officer
