WNY 5 Harbour Training. - Posted on May 20th 2009

The WNY harbour training was WNY's first harbour sail of the season. We were all excited to be out on the tide and spirits were high as we launched from the beach. Occasionally lifting center boards and rudders to clear the weed, we set off at a reasonable pace up the channel. With 8-11 knots of wind behind us we raced each other up to the visitors pontoon. There were Toppers, Fevas, a Sport 16, a Laser, and a Laser Stratos all docked up at the visitors pontoon to grab a doughnut before heading home due to the rapidly dissappearing light. Overall the night was a great success and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
