Slipper youths did us proud at the Youth Championships in Largs Scotland with the following final results. Pete McCoy in the Laser Standard secured a 7th out of 24 overall, an excellent result as this class is a tough class to be in! Phil McCoy finished with a 5th out of 48 after qualifying for the Gold fleet in the Laser Radial. Due to conditions, only one race was run and hence there was no room for error! Also in the Gold Fleet, Billy Miness got a credible 43rd out of 48. Whilst Ben Hodges in the Silver Fleet got a very respectable 14th out of 47. Well done to them all! It’s also worth mentioning the support given by the parents, the long hours driving to the events, the expense and the waiting around. Without the support from parents these achievements would not be possible.
